judo jiu-jitsu join together for a session: 23rd march 2024

Saturday 23rd March saw Micklefield Judo Club run our first event in our new venue at Sir William Ramsay School.  Over 30 Seniors from both judo and BJJ came together to take part in a joint masterclass.  Led by coaches from MJC and Carlos Peixoto lead coach from Positive Strength BJJ Demian Maia Jiu-Jitsu UK.

Attendees participated in a 2 hour session aimed at sharing skills from both disciplines and creating partnerships to build skills across both sports.  Feedback was very positive and plans are being put in place to run a regular session every 2 months.

This session was then followed by a First Aid revalidation event where attendees participated in a three hour masterclass to enhance and renew their skills in this area.
